We had a bit of a scare tonight. Chase, Trey, and Layton were rough-housing in the front room (I was in the kitchen on the phone with my mom). I heard a loud thud and Layton crying. I went out to see what happened. He was face down on the ground. I asked him if he was okay and he didn't respond. His whole body was stiff. I rolled him over to see if he was alright and he started convulsing in a seizure. Chase and Trey saw that and started screaming and crying hysterically. I called 911 and told them that he had fallen and seized. So they sent the ambulance out. I had hung up on my mom right as he started seizing....she was worried and told Matt what little she had heard. The EMTs checked Layton out and decided it be best that he go in and get checked out. So he was put on a straight board and put in the ambulance (picture). The EMTs gave him a bunny to make him less scared. He had me worried because he wouldn't talk at all to anyone. At the hospital they monitored him for a while and then gave us some information (things to watch for, etc) and sent us home.
It was a very scary experience for all of us and we are so glad that he is alright.

Oh my! I'm glad he is okay. I will have to call you tomorrow.
That is a very scary thing to have to go through. Glad to hear that he is doing good.
I understand how frightening it must have been for you guys.
Our little guy had a fibrile seizure a couple of months ago. Emma thought he was choking. He turned blue and went unconscious. It was a terrible experience. But everything turned out alright and he's fine now.
