A lady that Matt works with told us that they always get a live, potted Christmas tree. We thought that sounded like a neat idea. We looked around and found some gorgeous trees but they were WAY out of our budget....$175 to $200 each! The lady from work ended up telling Matt about a nursery in Moses Lake that sells live trees for a good price. The pickings were slim by the time we got up there but we found a nice tree. It looks beautiful with the ornaments and lights! After Christmas is over we will take it outside and plant it. When we look at the tree in our yard we will always remember our first Christmas in our own home!

You are SO smart getting a live tree. Uncle Steve did that and it got so big (years later) that they cut it down. It would be fun to get a family picture by it each and every Christmas.
Your tree looks very pretty. Getting a live tree and then planting it is a very cool idea. Are you going to do that every year?
