We spent our first year at home for Christmas. It was fun to start some new traditions for our family. Christmas eve we had the sister missionaries over for dinner. We made build your own pizzas and the boys had paper airplane throwing contests with the sisters. After the sisters left we put on our Christmas socks (Grandma Yearsley gets everyone socks for Christmas eve) and then we read about Christ's birth in the bible. Then the boys opened their new pajamas and went to bed.
Christmas day was a very nice, relaxing day. The boys woke us up at 8:00 (can you believe that?). We went downstairs and they opened the Santa gifts and their stockings. Matt and I got breakfast (dutch oven mountain man breakfast) into the oven. While breakfast cooked the boys played games. After eating we opened the rest of our gifts. The rest of the day was spent playing with the gifts, enjoying each other's company, relaxing, and muching on food. It was such a nice holiday.
