Zander's antics!!!

After having a very active toddler (Layton) I thought that I would be lucky and get a more mild toddler next. Obviously, our Father in Heaven has a sense of humor and thought that I needed another active toddler. My mom says that it is only fair considering that I was the same way (climbing out of my crib at 14 months, climbing on the fridge, TV, in the dryer, etc). I thought I would share some of the things that Zander has been up to lately, in hopes of amusing everyone and maybe someone might feel a little bit of pity for me. :) He is constantly going from one thing to another. There is constantly stuff strewn all over the place from him going through drawers, etc. One of his most favorite things to do is climb up on the dinner table and dance around. You would think after falling off several times he would stop, but NO he seems to do it MORE! He also likes to crawl up into his high chair (with the tray on) and scream at me until I get him something to eat. The scary thing is that he stands up in it and I am afraid that he is going to take a header out onto the wood floor. The other day he ended up getting stuck with his feet on the tray and bum in the hole so he couldn't get out. The worst thing of all is that he thinks it is great fun to get on top of the stove. Yes, you read that right . . . the STOVE!! The other day I was feeding McKay and Zander was playing right in front of me. He disappeard for a minute, mabye two, and next thing I know he is up on top of the stove with the boiling water for the mac-n-cheese (no picture of this one). He has figured out how to turn both the oven and the stove burners on. SCARY! Thankfully, he seems to have moved past doing that. I don't know what I am going to do with him. We will both be lucky if we survive past his 2nd birthday.

I am hoping that McKay is a much more mild toddler. I've earned that haven't I?!!?! Maybe you shouldn't answer that! :)

But he is sooo cute. The stove is scary though. Good luck. You do deserve a mellow one.

I almost chose this blog background too!! Great minds think alike.

I definetly think you deserve a mellow child especially with a newborn! I so feel your pain! Lucas is exactly the same way. You'll have to check out my blog to see what he has been up to.

Janae I know EXACTLY how you feel, having 4 boys just like him, so far Josh seems to be a little more mellow, but he doesn't quite count as a toddler yet does he? I don't think I could handle the constant worry and wondering, "where is he," "what is he doing," "what's he into"!! I think Heavenly Father knew you had the temperment and the personality to deal with this! I don't know, maybe I'm wrong and he does have a really good, but maybe sick sense of humor?! Just kidding!! Your baby is adorable!! Hope all is going good with you guys! I miss ya!! LOL!

Okay...I have to clear something up. I don't think that it is only fair that you got active child. I feel your pain. I have many pictures of 18-month-old Janae doing some of these very antics.
It would be fun to post some of those. :) Sorry.
Having 4 hands and 2 laps would definitely come in handy at this stage of your life.
