Hitting the slopes

For Chase and Trey's birthdays we gave them each a certificate stating that they would get snowboarding lessons, rentals and a half day of boarding. We finally had a weekend with nothing planned so it was snowboarding day at last! The boys were so excited! At the last minute we decided to let Layton go as well. I stayed home with the two younger boys and Matt, Chase, Trey, Layton, Doug and Kathryn headed up to Pommerelle. Chase and Trey took lessons from an instructor and Kathryn taught Layton (he would have had to have a private lesson due to his age which was quite pricey). The boys had a blast and caught on quite well. I guess Layton learned really quick and was bombing the runs . . . he does need to work on his stopping though. They had a blast and are anxious to hit the slopes again!
