Shoshone Falls

We decided to take a drive to Twin Falls last week to see Shoshone Falls while it was still running high. The week before there were several mile long waits to even get down to the falls, but the evening we chose was perfect; no lines and just a light wind. The falls were amazing. We have truly been blessed with a beautiful world! I had to get proof that McKay was with us so I tried to get a big of the falls in the background! The boys rolling down the big hill on the way back to the car.

On the way to Boise the other day Layton and I stopped at Malad Gorge. I didn't remember the foot bridge being as high as it is and I have to admit that I was pretty freaked out walking across it. It was cool to see the water coming out of the narrow canyon and then drop into a much wider part of the canyon. The canyons in this part of the state really are amazing.

I have never gone to Shoshone Falls in the springtime when it is at its fullest. I can't imagine mile long lines just to get in. That is crazy! It is pretty though.

Angie...Malad Gorge is between King Hill and Wendell (I think). You get off at the Tuttle exit.

That is gorgeous! We should go the next time we are over there. I love the pic with the rainbows--that's awesome! Good job! And you look great, Janae!

You know, alot of us have driven by the Malad Gorge and never stop. We finally stopped just last summer. After 45 yrs of driving past! It was beautiful! Take note -it is only 5 minutes off the road.

Janae, I was thinking the same thing about you looking good. Your working out is paying off.

I'm glad you were able to make it to the falls before they slowed down!!! As much as I don't like Idaho a whole lot, there are some neat things to see!
