I'm so glad when daddy comes home!

I have a new found respect for military wives and single mothers. I truly don't know how they hold it all together--the emotional toll has got to be terrible. For the last month Matt has been busy at work comissioning a bunch of new things so we really haven't seen him much at all. Most days he would leave just before the boys got on the bus (I was sleeping) and he would get home around 11 . . . some nights it was 1 am. I am used to him going out of town on business trips and we deal with it. However, having him here but not HERE has been hard on all of us, including Matt.

I am excited to say that it appears that the project is over and we will get our daddy back! McKay and Zander are especially excited! At one point it had been almost a week since McKay had seen Matt. He is such a daddy's boy so it has been hard on him. Now he won't let Matt out of his sight. He runs up to Matt holding up his arms saying "dada" until Matt picks him up. Then McKay cuddles into Matt's chest. So sweet. I am grateful to have such a hardworking husband, but I am more grateful to have him home with his family.

To all you single moms and military wives---my heart goes out to you. May you be blessed for the work that you are doing.

Glad that the month is over. Sorry that I never made it over during that time.
