June 12th, Zander turned THREE! Yikes--where does the time go?! Matt had a youth conference all that day so we decided to celebrate on the 13th instead. Doug and Kathryn were able to join us for dinner and cake. When I asked Zander what he wanted for his birthday he said "red." Red what? Eventually he told me he wanted a truck for his birthday. He didn't know what he wanted for dinner so we had Sloppy Joe Bites and pistachio salad.
Zander was so excited to open presents he could hardly stand it. Doug and Kathryn got him a cowboy hat (a tradition when a neice or nephew turns 3). He also got a semi truck, clothes, a swimming pool, a car speedway, and a train set. We finished off the day with birthday cake and ice cream. Zander had asked for a horse cake so that is what he got.
We are so blessed to have Zander in our family. He is such a happy, easy-to-laugh little guy, and always has been. Some other fun facts about Zander right now...
*Loves to swim
*Loves his daddy...he rushes outside to hug Matt after work
*He isn't a very good eater, especially when it comes to breakfast
*He wants to be big like his older brothers
*Really likes fireworks
*He is a chatterbox
*He loves to play with cars
*Likes to help the older boys empty the dishwasher

What a cute 3 yr old boy! He is just SO sweet. He is getting to look more and more like Layton.
