This is first mention of baby #7 on this blog as it had been a secret from the public until a week ago. I am now 20 weeks pregnant, which means that I am halfway done (I am hoping more than halfway)! Our little baby is due to arrive September 8th. This pregnancy has been hard on me with nausea lasting about 16 weeks and almost daily migraines which no medication would help. I am beginning to get some energy back and am hoping that the headaches are starting to wane.
On April 9th we had the BIG ultrasound to check how baby is growing. I had decided early on that I didn't want to find out what we were having because I didn't want to be disappointed. I feel awful when I feel disappointed because boy or girl it is a special spirit sent from our Father in Heaven to our family. However, after much pressure frome different people and Matt telling me to just find out, I gave in and we found out that we are having a GIRL!!! As soon as I saw the "three white lines" on the screen and the ultrasound techician confirmed that it was in fact a girl I broke into tears. I have been waiting a long time to have a daughter. I honestly didn't believe it would ever happen. Everything appeared to look good with baby K which is great news!

After the ultrasound we went home to tell the boys what we are having. We put a pink helium-filled balloon in a gift bag and the plan was to have it fly out as they opened the bag, only the balloon got stuck in the bag. But they immediately understood what it meant and are so thrilled to be having a little sister! We announced that we were expecting to our families back in March with this photo.
Then to announce the gender to our families and to the general public we took this picture! I love this photo!

We are all so excited to be welcoming a little girl into our family in a few months and are anxiously preparing for her arrival. She will be one loved and protected little girl.
And just for fun, here is a belly shot!
