Welcome to Idaho!!

Not the kind of welcome that I was hoping for! This past week colder temps and snow had been forecast for the weekend. The temperature definitely took a dip and yesterday morning (Saturday) we woke up to SNOW! Can you believe that? SNOW in October! I'm not talking a little bit of snow either...we had about 5 inches when we woke up. And it never let up all day long! It was insane. By midafternoon we had 1 foot of snow!!! We ran into Burley to get the boys some boots and gloves since we were NOT prepared for this. Walmart didn't have any boots or ice melt--it's not snow season yet! But luckily we were able to find some at Cal-Ranch. The snow continued well into the night and then a bit more this morning. The trees still have all their leaves and with all this snow the branches are snapping off like crazy. I was nervous all night long that one was going to come crashing through our roof. You could hear them cracking under the weight. There were several that did hit the house...a little too close for comfort for me. Church was cancelled because nobody can get their cars out because the plows haven't been out yet. Such crazy weather. In all we have received almost 2 feet of snow! YIKES! I am definitely NOT ready for winter yet. I miss Washington weather!
