L-A-G-O-O-N-!

The second day of our trip to Utah was spent at Lagoon! The boys and I had been looking forward to Lagoon for quite some time. Matt wasn't too thrilled about it but he seemed to have a good time (I hope). During October Lagoon does Frightmares. They decorate everything with fun Halloween things, have walk-through haunted houses, and people dressed in costumes. It is a lot of fun. It is the best time of year to attend Lagoon in my opinion, due to the cooler weather, shorter lines (typically), and fun things going on.

We invited several families to join us, but they were unable to go so we asked Grandpa and Grandma Yearsley. It was fun to have them with us. Both of the rides in the pics below got us wet...Grandma was soaked after Rattlesnake Rapids.

We had fun running from ride to ride. Unfortunately as the day wore on more and MORE people came and the lines became REALLY long, but we still had a great time. We even got Matt to go on some rides, a small miracle really!

After riding the Samuri (below) Chase was DONE with the big rides. He didn't care so much for spinning upside down high in the air. However, at the end of the day he said that Samuri was his favorite ride.

Trey ended up being my ride buddy. He wanted to try all the big rides and so we did. He really liked Blast-off and Re-Entry, but his favorite (mine as well) was WICKED! I wish I had a picture of it because it goes straight up then straight down follwed by corkscrew all while going 55 mph. What a rush!

Zander and McKay were so good all day. They hung out in their strollers watching everyone go on rides. We did take Zander on the carousel, but he screamed so he didn't go on anymore. His favorite thing was watching people do the Sky Coaster. He thought it was fun to see them fly through the air. He didn't care for the costumed people too much. Aren't those cool costumes!?!

Salt Lake

So after spending almost every free minute working on the house this summer we decided we owed it to the boys to take some time for a quick family vacay. Friday we spent wondering around Temple Square since Chase and Trey were so young the last time we were there. Our first stop was the Church Office Building where we went up top and looked out over the entire valley. The trees on top of the Conference Center were simply gorgeous so I had to take a picture.

Matt tried to get a hold of his mission president, Elder Steven E. Snow, so that we might get a tour of the Church Administration offices (where the Prophet and Apostles are), but he was out of town. So we went over to the Beehive House and toured that. It was fun to see where and how Brigham Young's family lived. After the tour we met our friends Randy and Stacey and their family at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and watched the new Jospeh Smith movie. It was such a good movie. It definitely made me appreciate more the trials that Joseph faced. The older boys really enjoyed the movie as well. We wandered around Temple Square taking in more of the sites...the Christus, Tabernacle, etc.

Trey was so excited to be able to go on top of the Conference Center, but unfortuately the entire Conference Center was closed for some event. Matt was looking forward to going to the new Family History Library, but we got there too late and it was closed. We then parted ways with our friends...it was so fun to spend the afternoon with them! We went to the Church History Museum and then finished off with pics in front of the temple.

We finished off the night with dinner at Chuckarama (best place to feed hungry BOYS!) and swimming in the hotel pool. It was a great day!

Stay tuned for our Lagoon pics!
