New Project

Call us crazy but Matt and I really enjoy working on projects. Last year was the remodel/addition of the house, this year is the yard. The first part of the project is to make a parking area in front of the house so that people can use the front door rather than the back door--not to fond of everyone coming in by our bedroom. So we rented a sod cutter and cut out the spot for the new drive. Last Saturday a friend from the ward came over with his backhoe and helped us out. He was able to lift a couple sections of our existing walk up to the house and turn them towards the new drive saving us much time, energy, and money (now we don't have to pour a new walk). Then he pulled out a huge section of concrete that was in the way and finished by pulling out several fence posts. We couldn't have done it without him. Thanks Paul!Stay tuned for more pictures as our project progresses!

Building fence

Although it was chilly and very windy, Matt and I spent Saturday afternoon working on the pasture fence. We got all the corner posts put together (just need to put the wire on them to pull them together) and we hung the gate. It is finally coming together. We hope to finish the rest of the fence in the next few weeks and then hopefully get more pasture seed planted in the next month. *fingers crossed*
Music was chosen by Matt! :)
