Layton celebrated his 5th birthday on Monday (May 19th). That morning we went to the pediatrician's office and he got 5 shots for Kindergarten. Mean mom I know. He did so good with the shots though . . .the nurses were so impressed and let him pick out 3 toys. He thought that was pretty cool. Then we went and ate lunch at Dairy Queen. He got a Blizzard for being so good during the shots and because it was his birthday.
That evening we had corn dogs, pistachio salad, strawberries, and chocolate milk for dinner. All by request from the birthday boy. After dinner Layton opened some presents . . . he was pretty excited about his new scooter. Then we went out and played some games (duck, duck, goose and Red Light, Green Light) also per Layton's request. After that we had cake and ice cream. Layton liked his snake cake so much last year that he wanted another one so that is what we did along with Bubble Yum ice cream.
I can't believe that he is already 5 years old! Time sure does fly!

A new scooter, a snake cake (cute!), a blizzard, choc milk for dinner and games with family. What a great b-day! All that will erase the memory of the shots.
They grow up too fast!!! I'm a mean mom too. Gavin got 4 shots at his 5 year well check...one more shot to go. Wish we lived closer! The kids have so much fun together when we come visit! And...so do the parents. I'm glad Layton had a good birthday! It sure looks like he had fun!
