Zander turns TWO!!!

Last Friday Zander celebrated his second birthday. It is hard for me to believe that he is TWO already. We had a little birthday party with Doug and Kathryn and our family. Zander actually got into the opening of gifts this year.Grandpa and Grandma Yearsley got him a set of cars and a bulldozer and as soon as those were opened he had no interest in opening any more presents. The older boys finally pulled the paper off the last present and once it was put together Zander didn't let it go (a bubble mower). He was too busy playing the mower and the bulldozer to eat birthday cake, although he did walk by and sneak one bite.

Since this is a family journal I would like to steal an idea from a friend of mine (thanks Stacey!) and document some of Zander's likes, dislikes, etc:

• Zander loves playing with his big brothers, especially Chase (he asks for Chase after his naps).
• Zander loves cars, trucks, tractors, planes, trains. He lines up his cars, trucks, etc in a perfect line making sure they are all facing forward.
• He is afraid of thunder.
• He still loves his blanket and chews on the tag for comfort.
• He would drink chocolate milk all day if I let him.
• He is sleeping in a big boy bed and actually stays there.
• He is still taking 2 hour naps.
• He likes to color on the walls. :(
• He loves to help the boys unload the dishwasher and set the table.
• He likes to steal the toys from McKay.
• He loves his daddy and greets him when he comes home from work.
• He stayed in nursery by himself for the first time in 6 months.

Zander has such a fun little personality. He has definitely brought a fun, sweet persoanlity into our home. We are so grateful that he came to our family. He makes us laugh and smile everyday. We love you Zander!!
