Layton had a follow up appointment with the surgeon on Monday so we made a night of it and stayed with Mama and Papa Barnes. It was a fun 24 hours! Monday night Jill and her family, Jeff and his family, Jaron, Mama & Papa, the boys and I had FHE. Mama did a great lesson on keeping journals and made a small journal for each of the grandkids. We played a tic-tac-toe song guessing game that was a lot of fun. For activity we played "Maffia", maybe not the best FHE game, but everyone had FUN! Then we roasted s'mores and ate pie and BTS cake. Jaron, Mom and I stayed up way too late talking; it was a fun night! The next morning Chase and Mama played checkers on the patio while Trey sat and swung in the deck swing. McKay had fun hanging out in the highchair eating pancakes for breakfast. We met Jill and her kids at the park for free lunch. I was amazed at what the kids got to eat (ham and cheese wrap or crackers with cheese and ham, pasta salad, orange or apple, chocolate milk, and veggies). The kids enjoyed playing tag on the toys and then feeding the ducklings in the pond. Thank you mom and dad for a fun time!
Oh and the DR said that Layton is doing well. His lungs sound good (although he did say that he will have a scar on his lungs now) but has to have another chest x-ray in September. His wounds are healing well. It appears that his chest tube wound will scar more than the actual puncture wound thanks to the surgeon's expertise.

It WAS a fun time having you here. We are glad that you stayed overnight. The cousins have so much fun together and I love your boys. Duh!
