I pulled it!

About a month ago Layton told me he had a tooth growing in behind his front tooth. I wasn't quite sure what he meant so I looked. Sure enough he had TWO permanent teeth growing in BEHIND his bottom baby front teeth. We had thought it was strange that he hadn't lost any teeth before now considering that Chase and Trey both lost their first tooth before they went to kindergarten and Layton is half way through first grade. Anyway. . . the baby teeth were holding on for dear life--no wiggle at all. After a month though they loosened up and Layton pulled his first tooth (he worked on it all during church). So as per our tradition I baked him a tooth cake (for the first lost tooth) and then the tooth fairy brought him a dollar (lucky boy...I think I used to get 25 cents...can we say inflation!). I should also mention that he pulled the second tooth at school a couple days later. It was loose enough to pull the night before at home, but he wanted to wait and pull it at school so he could get a treasure chest to put it in.
Now we are just hoping that the permanent teeth move up into the right position. *fingers crossed*

My front teeth did the same thing. The dentist told me just to push on them with my tounge. That seemed to do the trick.

Oh how I LOVE to pull teeth!
I didn't know you do a tooth cake for the first lost tooth. What a fun tradition!
Good job, Layton.

Yay for the first lost tooth! And yeah, I agree, kids nowadays get a way better deal from the tooth fairy!!
