HaPpY BiRtHDaY!!

This past week Layton turned SEVEN! He got to have two birthdays because Matt was in Canada for work and Layton didn't want to celebrate without his dad. So on his birthday (May 19th) I surprised him at school and took him out to lunch--he chose Arbys. Then he came home to cupcakes. The boys and I sang to him and he blew out the candle. He opened the gifts from G&G Yearsley (clothes, a cap gun, and melty beads) and had breakfast burritos for dinner (his choice).

Matt got home Saturday night (YAY!) and Doug & Kathryn spent the night so we finished off the celebrations Sunday with the dinner he requested--Turkey/Strawberry Croissant sandwiches (yummy), crab salad, and sprite with sherbet in it.
He asked for a pyramid cake from Family Fun magazine, unfortunately ours didn't turn out as cute as theirs but Layton still liked it.
Then he opened the presents from Matt and I (basketball, Star Wars lego set, shirts, yo-yo).
