12 years ago . . .

. . .my little Chase was born and I became a mommy!Hard to believe that it has been 12 years since he came to our family! He has grown from such a fun, talkative little boy into a fun, talkative young man! ;) He is such a great big brother to his younger brothers, especially Z and M, they love Chasey. He is a great student and enjoys learning. He is a good example to those around him and sticks up for kids who are being bullied. He is a great helper around the house and has taken on the role of the eldest very well. We are so grateful to have him as a part of our family, especially as our first born because he is setting a good example for his younger siblings.

His birthday started out with jelly-filled biscuit donuts (new recipe we tried...yummy) and tangerines.

Lunch was the traditional lunch out with dad and mom, he chose Upper Crust. They were supposed to sing to him, but they must have gotten busy and forgot, OH WELL!

Dinner consisted of Filet Mignon, krab salad, deviled eggs, vinegar cucumbers and hot cocoa . . . all his request.
He received his bike this summer so he only had a couple of gifts to open (a tie and a hoodie) and will be getting his elk tag on Monday.

Then we sang to him and enjoyed a slice of homemade ice cream cake (short 7 candles....I thought I had some).

Happy 12th Birthday Rooster!!

It IS hard to believe that it was 12 years ago. Time truly does fly!

One thing I remember about Chase as a little one, just months old. Matt would talk to him and Chases' little lips would move, pucker and try so hard to copy what he saw his daddy doing. He was trying to talk way before the average baby. Once he started, he hasn't stopped. He was always asking questions and learning as he got the answers. He is a smart young man. Happy Birthday Chase. We love you!
