No Charlie Brown

This year our tree is anything BUT a Charlie Brown tree. We were at Smith's on Saturday and saw these beautiful trees for a great price so we decided to purchase one. Then came the hard part . . . how to get it home (we were in the Sequoia). Matt and Chase were able to get it on the roof of the car and then a friend of Matt's from work helped them secure it. Laying on its side this tree was almost half as tall as the car. We got it home and into the house to thaw out so it would be ready for FHE. It is HUGE, but so pretty!!
Last night for FHE we read the The Last Straw and drew our names for our onw acts of servie. Then we hung all the ornaments. It is so fun to see all the different ornaments that we have. Each of the boys have their own growing collection and then we have mine from when I was a kid. We finished off the evening with candy cane cookies and hot cocoa--YUM!

Very pretty tree! (And I just have to comment on your wall decor--I haven't seen that before, but it looks great!). Glad you found a great tree for a great price! (We got ours at King's this year!).

Looks very nice! I see you moved some furniture to make room for the big tree.
Glad to hear you read the Last Straw. Family traditions continue!

Are those candy cane cookies? I remember making those long ago.
