Last month Chase had the opportunity to go on Trek with the youth of our Stake. They went over by Sublet Reservoir and trekked a total of 20 miles over 3 days. Chase trekked for his great great great grandpa, Heber Chase Yearsley. Matt got to go up Wednesday to show black powder guns and give the youth (& leaders) the opportunity to shoot those kind of guns. Chase ended up hanging around and helping Matt most of the day. Matt enjoyed being able to spend that time with Chase. According to many people in the stake everyone the shooting was a favorite of the youth. Chase had a great time on Trek on gained a greater appreciation for the pioneers--especially our ancestors that came across the plains.
