TEENAGER on the loose!

It is so hard to believe, but we are the parents of a teenager now. Yikes! Seriously where has the time gone. It seems like yesterday that Chase looked like this...
And now looks like this (more like a man than a boy) . . . .
I have to add that Chase is quite proud of the fact that he is now taller than both mom and dad.  He measures in about 5' 10" tall.
Chase's 13th birthday was on Sunday so we went Saturday morning and got breakfast before dad had to be at tithing settlement.  It was fun to spend that time one on one with Chase (and Declan)!  For his birthday dinner he requested Salmon, pilaf, twice baked potates, and pistachio salad (hmmm....don't know why I don't have a picture of him with his meal).  Our family doesn't care much for cake so Chase opted to have a giant sugar cookie for his "cake".  It was yummy, but the colors weren't the greatest.  He asked for blue and red, but the red came out pink.  He didn't care which is good because it was REALLY pink!  Chase got a bunch of cool things for his birthday--a spinner CTR ring, ski golves, wranglers, two cool looking snap shirts, paintball mask, candy, and two games.  It was a good day!

We are so lucky to have Chase in our family.  He is a really good big brother to his younger brothers.  He does a great job taking care of the animals, he is a great babysitter, and is becoming quite the chef, he is a great student, a good example to his friends, and so much more.  We are so glad that he was the first child to come to our family....he is a great example to his younger brothers.  Happy 13th Birthday Chase, we love you!
