Egg hunting season

This past weekend (March 24th) we took the boys to the annual McCain Foods easter egg hunt for employees' children.  We had at least one kid in each of the four age groups, and unfortunately Chase was too old to participate this year so he chose to stay home.  At first McKay wasn't wanting to pick up the eggs until I told him there were treats in them . . . then he finally got into it.  Declan would have been happy with just one egg . . . he didn't care what was inside of them.

In each of the age group areas there is a golden egg hidden.  The person that finds the golden egg in each group wins a prize--a big easter basket with goodies.  Zander found the golden egg in his group and Layton found the egg in his group so they both got a big basket with goodies.  The rest of the afternoon and into Sunday, Zander and McKay played 'easter egg hunt'.  They would take turns hiding the eggs around the yard and then find them.  They did this countless time . . . it never got old.  They had a lot of fun!
Right before the hunt began the Easter Bunny came out to talk to the kids and get pictures taken.  McKay was clinging to my leg until he saw that the Easter Bunny was handing out candy.  He finally ventured over to get a candy, but only after Zander started to head that way.
