This past weekend we drove to Eastern Idaho for a quick visit. Friday night we stayed at G&G Yearsley's house. It was nice to just sit and chat while the boys played games. Matt and I didn't get much sleep due to Zander not feeling well and crying all night, poor little guy. We got up at 6:30 to get ready to head over to Ben and Lisa's in Rigby. Ben had purchased an old cow for us to split. Matt, Ben, and Chase (along with a couple other people) spent the moring butchering the cow. I sent the camera with Matt and asked him to take pictures. He FORGOT!!! However, he did get this one of Chase. Leave it up to him to take a gross picture like this.
(Chase kept some of the bones to feed to Blackjack).

Lisa and I stayed home with the rest of the kids and hung out. It was fun to spend time visiting with Lisa. I definitely missed that when we were in WA. She made some sugar cookies for the kids to decorate. They had a blast decorating cookies. They piled so many candies on their cookies I am amazed they were able to fit them in their mouths. The cousins had a great time playing together. I am glad that they are able to spend time like this with their cousins. We had wanted to stay longer but had to be back so that Matt and I could speak in church the next day. Thank you Ben & Lisa and Grandpa & Grandma for a fun weekend! It was great to see everyone!

I almost forgot to mention that McKay rolled over for the first time while at Ben and Lisa's. I put him on his tummy and he rolled over--three times! My baby is growing up so fast. He is beginning to act more like a person and less like a helpless baby. He is grabbing at toys, smiling a TON, has laughed a couple times, and babbles like crazy. He is definitely a social little boy. He loves to be talked to, played with, and just be a part of what is going on. He is such a fun addition to our family!

Sounds like it was a fun weekend. Glad that Matt didn't take any butchering pictures...that would have been gross to see. The bloody bone was enough for me. :) I bet your dog loved them!
I bet that was a fun time. That picture of Chase is so funny - such a boy thing to do! :) I can't believe McKay is rolling over! Wow. It seems like he is still too young for that!
Looks like fun! I'm super jealous though! Maxton isn't rolling over yet! He doesn't like to be on his stomach though, so maybe he is going to take a little bit longer. Oh well. Cute pictures! And so sorry to hear about 'Old Man'! Poor dog! (I haven't read blogs in a while)
Sounds like fun times. (the cookies...not the butchering)
Yippee for cute little McKay! Rolling over. That is one of the first milestones.
He is pretty photogenic. Cute pics.
That was fun having you guys here! We'll see you again soon!
